MARC HERSHKOWITZ

Realtor and Transaction Manager

Marc Hershkowitz has been selling real estate in the DMV for over 20 years.  He is licensed in Maryland, DC and Virginia and holds the National Association of Realtors designation of Seniors Real Estate Specialist.

Marc has helped hundreds of clients - in both buyers' and sellers' markets - ranging from first time buyers to growing families and empty nesters seeking to downsize, as well as those transitioning to more suitable senior communities. He's worked extensively with a developer and in property management. Marc offers his clients experience working with investors who buy, renovate and sell all kinds of property. Plus, he has an excellent understanding of the rental market and the ins and outs of being a landlord.

Marc's clients value his ability to anticipate their specific needs - and he works hard to see that their goals are met. He's known for being a strong communicator, and is highly detail-oriented. Marc's skill and determination have helped many clients get their offers accepted during protracted negotiations and bidding wars. His experience and knowledge of the market have allowed his clients to successfully navigate the Washington area's dynamic real estate landscape.

Born in the Bronx (yes a diehard Yankee fan)  Marc moved to Maryland in 1980.  He studied Food & Beverage management at Montgomery College and managed several area restaurants while also working as a youth group leader and teaching at area synagogues.  In 1989 Marc moved to Israel where he spent the next 10 years living on a communal farm working in agriculture and also developing and facilitating educational modules for overseas students who came to Israel on various programs.

Upon his return to the US, Marc got his real estate license and began helping people achieve their real estate dreams.  During this time he also taught and developed a curriculum about modern Israeli society which he taught for 10 years.  Today Marc is still involved in his synagogue.  He is the President of the Brotherhood of Temple Shalom of Chevy Chase and  also sits on the Temple Board of Trustees.  He lives in Rockville with his son, daughter-in-law, and their corgi Milo.  In his spare time, Marc enjoys cooking, exploring off the beaten track places, listening to live music and going to drum circles.
